Bredeson Outdoor Adventures is offering a day of guided snowshoeing in Washington and Warren, Connecticut. We’ll meet at Hopkins Vineyard and shuttle five minutes to Macricostas Preserve and snowshoe up to the Pinnacle to admire the dramatic view of Lake Waramaug. We'll enjoy lunch and lake views upstairs in the warmth of the vineyard's Hayloft Wine Bar and an optional wine tasting downstairs by the fire. We'll provide hot tea and cocoa in the morning and a packed lunch, information on where to rent snowshoes (we have a few pair available for rent), brief instruction and a day of winter fun. We'll also provide tips and lists for what to wear, bring and do in enjoy to enjoy a safe cold weather outing. You supply the adventurous spirit and the desire to get out and savor an active, crisp winter's day in the company of other nature lovers.
North and South America
Please join us for this magnificent hiking trip amidst the pristine wilderness and rugged beauty of America’s most beloved national parks, Grand Teton and Yellowstone. Yellowstone was formed in 1872 as the world’s first national park, a concept that has been called America’s best idea. In both parks we’ll have opportunities to observe wildlife, including bison and perhaps bears. We’ll travel in boats on lakes, and enjoy dinners that range from elegant park lodge repasts to chuck wagon suppers.
Our guided Green Mountain Fall Foliage Hiking Adventure captures the best of two of Vermont’s most scenic hiking areas during the most beautiful time of the year in the period immediately after the Columbus Day crowds. The first part of our trip will be based in Stowe, the classically charming village in the Green Mountains with Vermont’s highest peak, Mount Mansfield. Unlike most of Vermont, Stowe’s history does not center exclusively around farming and lumber. By the mid-1800’s Stowe had developed into a famous summer resort due to its transportation connections and spectacula
This Champlain Valley self-guided bicycling trip offers some of Vermont’s finest touring in what is known as the Land of Milk and Honey. We’ll provide a range of bicycling routes offering choices between moderate and challenging rides in the rolling fertile farmland filled with dairy farms and apple orchards. (There are a few good “ups” – just because it’s a valley doesn’t mean that there are not challenges.) The views of Lake Champlain between the Green Mountains to the east, and the Adirondacks to the west are stunning. You’ll have a chance to explore the towns of Middlebury and Bran
Join us for a winter wonderland inn to inn snowshoeing adventure on the trail less traveled in one of Vermont's most scenic areas, the Moosalamoo region of the Green Mountain Forest, otherwise aptly known as Robert Frost Country. Your adventure will start in the town of Brandon, Vermont, a hidden gem full of historic homes, a vibrant arts scene, a nice French restaurant, and even a vineyard. You'll enjoy dinner in Brandon and an overnight at an in-town inn on your first night.
