The Columbia River Gorge was the corridor through which Lewis and Clark traveled to reach the Pacific, and the avenue by which they began their long journey home. The information they gathered provided the inspiration for the tide of western expansion and settlement that followed. By the mid-19th century, almost 12,000 pioneers had migrated to the Oregon Territory. The territory originally encompassed an area that included the current states of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, as well as parts of Wyoming and Montana.

Join Bredeson Outdoor Adventures on our Seas and Sierras multi-sport tour to the beautiful and interesting Baja Sur California region of Mexico. While many people have preconceived notions of Baja Sur (think hippie or yuppie enclaves), Baja Sur is a relatively untapped area full of authentic adventure and culture experiences on both land and sea. Jacques Yves Cousteau once called the Sea of Cortez the “Aquarium of the World.” With a marine abundance of whales, sea lions, turtles, whale sharks and thousands of endemic species….Jacques was right.
