Join Bredeson Outdoor Adventures on our Seas and Sierras multi-sport tour to the beautiful and interesting Baja Sur California region of Mexico. While many people have preconceived notions of Baja Sur (think hippie or yuppie enclaves), Baja Sur is a relatively untapped area full of authentic adventure and culture experiences on both land and sea. Jacques Yves Cousteau once called the Sea of Cortez the “Aquarium of the World.” With a marine abundance of whales, sea lions, turtles, whale sharks and thousands of endemic species….Jacques was right.
Join us for this beautiful hiking and cultural adventure in Scotland, a land rich in lore, scenery and culture. Scotland is known for its mountains, including Ben Nevis, the highest in Great Britain, its lakes (“lochs”), its lovely valleys (“glens”) and forests. Although it is part of the United Kingdom, Scotland was independent for centuries with its own monarch, and has a fascinating, sometimes turbulent, history of its own.
Join Bredeson Outdoor Adventures for a remarkable multi-sport journey through some of New Zealand’s most iconic and unspoiled landscapes in one of the great natural areas of the world. Arrive in the Garden City of Christchurch, take the time to wander through the central city and see how this proud town has rebuilt itself since the devastating 2011 earthquakes. Your journey starts in earnest when you make the drive across the Southern Alps to the West Coast of the South Island.
Bredeson Outdoor Adventure is offering a day of guided woods to farm to table snowshoeing in Pocantico Hills. Please join us for this guided hiking, boating and cultural adventure on the beautiful Emerald Isle. This small country is immersed in history and its friendly people express their lyrical nature in the lilting warmth of their welcome, their music and their story telling. Ireland alternates between small villages with quaint streets and the requisite pubs, where we’ll listen to lively music, and wild Romantic island, coastal, wooded and mountain landscapes. It has inspired poets, musicians and artists – and it will likely inspire you as well.
Welcome to this guided hiking, canoeing, cultural and culinary exploration of the beautiful and historic Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area. We’ll then visit the great Jack O Lantern Blaze (fall foliage tours), the Storm King Arts Center and West Point. We’ll go on a hike on the Old Croton Reservoir Trail through Rockefeller State Park to Stone Barns Farm and stop by the Headless Horseman Bridge.
